Alcohol and Drug Education

  

Location: On-Site

In this interactive educational program on alcohol and drug education, participants will
increase their knowledge about the stages leading to alcohol and drug addiction, and
identify signs of alcohol abuse. Also, participants will learn how alcohol and drug abuse
can affect athletic performance. Participants will also create team strategies to reduce
alcohol and drug abuse on their team.

Participants will learn the following:

1. How drug abuse can negatively impact athletic performance.

2. Three risk factors to becoming addicted.

3. Alcohol and drug use and the LAW.

4. Become more aware of what impairment means.

5. How to intervene with an athlete who has a drug or alcohol problem.

6. Unique ways to create a safe environment on campus.
