Emotional Intelligence

Profile

Allan Halcrow has spent the better part of his adult life chained to a word processor. For much of that time, he was the editor of Workforce (the leading magazine for HR professionals), for which he wrote articles, recognized top achievements in HR and conducted business research. When he was allowed out, he spoke at business conferences coast to coast. More recently, he has co-written the bestseller The Boss’s Survival Guide (2001) and Gray Matters: A Workplace Survival Guide (2003). If he can write books, imagine what he can do for you.

Allan has uncanny ability to explain emotional intelligence in terms even Mr. Spock could understand. He’s also certified in the administration and interpretation of the two most statistically sound instruments for assessing EI. Faster than you can say, “Bob Newhart” he’ll have you talking about emotions as easily as last month’s sales figures.

He’s won the prestigious McAllister Editorial Fellowship, two First Place awards for his writing from the American Society of Business Press Editors, four Maggie Awards from the Western Publications Association and too many pats on the back to mention here. Allan is always happy to show his fabulous travel photos, too – but that costs extra.

Lynne Gabriel has spent 14 years working with employees all across America. From remote outposts in the California desert to northwestern Puerto Rico, Lynne has facilitated training sessions for thousands of employees. She’s not teaching typing, either. Lynne deals with the toughest, most sensitive workplace issues: emotional intelligence, leadership skills, cultural values, and HIV. Faster than you can say “Mary Richards,” Lynne will soothe a room of uncomfortable business folks by showing them respect, drawing out all sides of an issue, or easing tension with the perfect icebreaker.

She’s certified in administering and interpreting two of the leading (and the most scientifically sound) instruments for assessing emotional intelligence.

Lynne is a child advocate in the Los Angeles County Superior court system, certified as a mediator for the Dispute Resolution Program of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, and she’s been on Oprah. Lynne tells really funny jokes, too – but that costs extra.
