Profile
Amelia Townsend helps executives and top level management turn their communications frustrations in to success stories. Using skills garnered as a TV news producer and print reporter, Townsend can help you craft an effective message that will successfully reach your target markets.
She can help you decide whether your message should be communicated via a speech, video, a brochure, the Internet or a simple phone call. She will work with you to develop the agenda, prepare and anticipate the audience response.
Townsend spent many years listening, really listening to other people, first as a newspaper reporter, then as a television and video producer, writer and director. Since graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 1985, Amelia worked with CEOs and executive level management to help them hone their communication skills to live, print and television audiences. Her clients included Fortune 100 companies.
Amelia worked on both sides of the television camera, first as a reporter covering business and politics, then she led a team that produced live news programming for a 24-hour Time Warner station.
Additionally, Amelia developed training for executives and NASCAR teams that helped them craft the messages they needed to deliver to audiences.
