Profile

Dr. Morris Thomas, born and raised in the metropolitan Detroit, MI area, is an emerging author, speaker and consultant. Dr. Thomas is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Excellence Enterprise, a consulting firm. He is the author of FOCUS: THE MISSING FACTOR; A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO ACCOMPLISHING YOUR GOALS. Dr. Thomas is an education advocate, and this is evident in his educational background as well as in his career path.

Dr. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education (Administration) from Morgan State University and a M.A. in Educational Policy and Leadership from The Ohio State University. He has also completed courses in Professional & Business Communication (Training & Development) and Education (Cognition) at LaSalle University. Dr. Thomas has previously held positions in administration at several public, private, for profit and nonprofit institutions and organizations. He also served as a research associate, instructor and presenter. Dr. Thomas is an accomplished speaker; his list of speaking venues include corporations, universities and colleges, seminars, churches, youth events, retreats and workshops involving a number of topics in the United States and abroad.

Dr. Thomas completed a B.A. in Music (Vocal Performance) at Fisk University. Dr. Thomas continues to utilize his musical talents through singing and songwriting. Dr. Thomas sings with Opera Companies and in voice recitals.  He also performs a recital/lecture series on Classical Music, Opera and African-American Spirituals.

Dr. Thomas believes in giving back and currently serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations. Dr. Thomas is a multifaceted individual with a sincere passion to see people become empowered to excel in life!
