Dr. Robert Biggins earned a Bachelor of Arts double major in Business Administration and Sociology while playing college football at private western Pennsylvania Thiel College. Upon graduation in 1990, he was hired by Dietrich Industries (currently Worthington Steel), moved to the mid-west, earned an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University while working full time. During this time Dr. Bob spoke on employer and customer topics and from appliance to automotive manufacturing. With this exposure and impressive performance, Dr. Biggins was quickly promoted to positions with more responsibility and technical requirements. To meet these challenges, Dr. Bob earned a Masters of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan proceeded by a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Organizational Analysis and Technology from the same alma mater. While in industry, Dr. Biggins has held positions ranging from machine operator, to supervisor to engineer to manager in quality, production, and industrial & manufacturing engineering. Dr. Bob has worked for three industrial companies. The last 17 years have been spent at Robert Bosch Automotive, the second largest automotive component supplier in the world manufacturing hydraulic and mechanical vehicle braking systems. In and outside of Bosch, Dr. Biggins has also trained and spoken on assorted statistical industrial techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Ergonomics, ISO Standards, Advanced Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement. Dr. Bob also frequently speaks on change management, motivation, personnel development and leadership topics. Dr. Bob is active in his chapter of the internationally renowned speaking organization, "Toastmasters" where he has been a member since 2010. In Dr. Biggins’ spare time, he owns two real estate companies that he and his wife of ten years Amy manage. Bob enjoys finance, work outs, property improvement projects and playing with his three small children, 7 year old Riley, 5 year old Alexandra, and 3 year old Emily. |
