Profile
Filomena D. Warihay, Ph.D., founded Take Charge Consultants, Inc. (TCC) in 1977 with the intention of helping business leaders create enduring organizational norms, the most important of which is change. She has diagnosed, designed, developed, facilitated/delivered, and evaluated major training and consulting projects for Fortune 500 companies and large Federal agencies nationally and internationally. Dr. Warihay holds an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development from Pacific Western University. She is a respected, trusted leadership development expert and has consulted with and coached senior leaders in such organizations as American Express, AOL, Boeing, IRS, GE, Johnson & Johnson, NASA, National Geographic Society and Time, Inc. In thirty years of helping corporations hone leadership skills in some of the most well-known companies in the world, Filomena has detected something that is not taught in business school that differentiates the extraordinary leaders from the ordinary: they create a joyful work environment. Just a few of the fringe benefits of a more joyful approach to leadership are: greater creativity and innovation, enhanced problem-solving skills, better decisions, and improved personal health. Productivity and profitability are higher in organizations where employees have fun. Dr. Warihay documented her findings in the award-winning book, Joy Rules! 30 Lessons to Help Leaders Harness Heart Power at Work. A sought-after speaker for management conferences and leadership gatherings, Dr. Warihay informs and entertains audiences with her highly interactive, highly transferrable, and hilarious presentation, Joy to the Work! Audiences learn about one of the most important, but underused avenues to achieving corporate success: an upbeat, positive, friendly, fun environment - experienced from the top down. More importantly, they learn specific techniques for creating a joyful culture that results in high performance, productivity and profits. Dr. Warihay relates real-life leadership stories that focus on:
