Changing the lives of people has been Morgans focus during his 35 years as a high school teacher in Illinois and 34 years as a Federal Park Ranger. The unique programs developed in both of these careers landed Morgan in the 2002 Charter Class of the Illinois Outdoor Hall Of Fame. One of his most successful programs was a 20 year stint as Director of a nationally recognized program where wheelchair-bound hunters were taken deer hunting by Morgans biology students. During every day of January, 2006 Morgan was stationed in New Orleans as a Disaster Relief Worker with the "Blue Roof Program." This experience resulted in a new presentation about the "Katrina Hell." Joel Vance, a nationally acclaimed outdoor writer, stated that Morgan was able to "pass miracles without breaking a sweat" during one of his visits to Illinois to participate in one of Morgans unique outdoor education programs.
