· PURSUIT OF A DREAM---COMMITMENT---RESPONSIBILITY · CANCER---HEART DISEASE---SUICIDE---CAREER BURN-OUT · FAITH---HOPE---PERSEVERANCE---ACCEPTANCE---FORGIVENESS · BUSINESS OWNERSHIP---CAREER ADVANCEMENT---TRIUMPH What do these things have in common? Gene Operle and perhaps YOU! Gene’s personal life story can help you to nurture an "at your service" lifestyle, so you can:
TRIUMPH THROUGH PERSERVERANCE When Gene was 21, he and his wife were blessed with their first child AND on the same day; Gene was diagnosed with cancer, which forced the closure of his business. After surgeries and treatments, the cancer went into remission. He was told that he would probably not father another child, but God had other plans. Sixteen years, two more children, and another business later; tragedy struck when their first child died of suicide. Not long after; Gene had to have open heart surgery (triple by-pass), followed by career burn-out and ultimate renewal! After starting a new job; Gene was confronted with cancer, a second time. Following chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer was defeated, as he and his wife celebrated over thirty years of marriage and a prosperous career. WISDOM FORGED IN THE FURNACE OF AFFLICTION Gene takes comfort in the belief that there is a plan and nothing happens by chance. He understands that leaders are molded over time through the overcoming of obstacles, and like a work of art or the birth of a child; pain often comes before joy. He says that while we may never understand why some things happen; we can still find peace, because we have the power to choose how we respond. He suggests that the "at your service" lifestyle is the best response and that it is the key that unlocks doors leading to enriched personal lives and more productive and meaningful careers. Invite Gene to your next meeting and learn how to fall forward when life trips you; as it does all of us from time to time. On and off the job; it will make a big difference in how quickly you are up and running again! Blog PostingsSpeaking Above The Level Of Our Knowledge |
