Profile

As an infant, Laura was faced with the challenge of having to navigate through various languages and cultures.  An only child of Argentine-Colombian immigrant parents,  she lived in Belgium and France between the ages of seven months and eight years.  When she returned to the United States with her family, Laura quickly began to fine-tune her burgeoning skills in cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and communication in Spanish, English, and French.  In the process, she developed a boundless curiosity for all human endeavors and a thirst for learning that eventually led her to pursue the highest academic degrees in Comparative Literature and Hispanic Studies from an Ivy League institution.  Not content to nourish only her mind, she also has sought to develop body and spirit--training extensively in the martial arts, yoga, creative writing and holistic health and nutrition.  She loves to share her insights and best practices in her lectures and classes, and continues to learn from her encounters with the thousands of students with whom she’s come in contact during her 20+ years as an educator and Success Coach.

Dr. Laura is an engaging, compassionate and humorous speaker who can address a variety of topics on self-empowerment and creativity, including cultural awareness and sensitivity, business writing in English and Spanish, Spanish-English translation, women’s issues, the integration of mind, body, spirit, holistic health, and creative writing.
