Lori Hartman Gervasi is a Black Belt Karate expert, a former television journalist, and author of the book Fight Like A Girl…and Win: Defense Decisions for Women. She graduated from the Motion Picture/Television Department at UCLA, went to work for ABC News, and was then employed for ten years as a TV news writer and producer at Channel 9 News in Los Angeles. Fight Like a Girl…and Win was endorsed by Gavin de Becker, America’s leading personal security expert and New York Times bestselling author of The Gift of Fear. De Becker’s quote reads, “This book stands strong against a 5 million-year history of violence against women. Lori Hartman Gervasi tells you exactly how to choose safety over victimization.” Lori appeared on NBC’s Today show and has been a featured expert in various publications including Health, Inland Living, The Cape Cod Times, and New York Metro.
