Inspirational author and coach M.J. Ryan is one of the creators of the New York Times bestselling Random Acts of Kindness series and the author of The Happiness Makeover (nominated for the 2005 Books for Better Living award in the Motivational category), This Year I Will…Attitudes of Gratitude, The Power of Patience, Trusting Yourself, The Giving Heart, and 365 Health and Happiness Boosters, among other titles. Altogether, there are 1.75 million copies of her titles in print. Dubbed “an expert in human fulfillment,” she specializes in coaching high performance executives, entrepreneurs, individuals, and leadership teams around the world. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation and her clients include Royal Dutch Shell, the U.S. Department of Defense, Microsoft, Chevron, Hewitt Associates, the Boys and Girls Club, the Town of Paradise, CA, and SRAK, a joint venture between Saudi Arabia and two international oil companies. She has appeared on “The Today Show,” CNN, and hundreds of radio programs. She is the life coach columnist for Health and a contributing editor to Good Housekeeping. Articles on her work have appeared in The New York Times, USA Today, Wall St. Journal, Health, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal, Town and Country, Cosmopolitan and Yoga Journal. She was recently appointed the “happiness and positive mood” member of the Select Comfort Quality of Life advisory board. M.J. wows audiences in speeches throughout the country, including with Marianne Williamson at the Marble Collegiate Church in New York, the Oceans of Gratitude cruise, Thanksgiving Square in Dallas, the Crossroads Center in Chicago, Robert Redford’s Sundance resort in Utah, and the Alliance for the New Humanity with Deepak Chopra. In 2007, she was a keynote speaker for all five days of the National Speaking of Women’s Health Conference in Cincinnati.
