Privacy and Information Security Risk Management and Compliance

OVERVIEW

This six hour workshop covers current privacy and information security best practices. The workshop also provides the fundamentals so participants can take on the role of a privacy officer.  At the conclusion of the workshop, the participant is expected to have a sufficient understanding of privacy and information security principles to implement a privacy best practices program in their business, department, or other entity. Once the best privacy practices program is implemented, risks associated with privacy and information security breaches will be reduced. A successfully implemented and ongoing privacy best practices program can serve as a safe harbor and affirmative defense against liability and other risks associated with privacy and information security breaches.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Business and department managers, administrators, privacy and security managers/officers, and other management personnel who are responsible for privacy and informationsecurity.

CLASSROOM MATERIALS

Each participant will receive a comprehensive manual based on the book, “The Privacy Friendly Business,” authored by privacy and identity theft expert, Dr. Joseph Campana.
