Biography:

Annie Barron, PhD is an inspiring author, coach and educator who specializes in helping people discover and experience their deepest purpose, even in the toughest circumstances. 

With 18 years' experience in leadership and organization development, Annie infuses each workshop with FUN, relevant exercises, entertaining stories and lots of practical information.

Every time Annie works with a client, she takes time in advance to understand what her client really wants and needs from their relationship.  The way she adjusts her style and materials to fit each group makes Annie a favorite repeat presenter.

4 Layers of Communication

This is one of Annie's most popular courses because the 4 layers of communication are relevant to everyone.  They can be applied to Problem Solving, Conflict Resolution, Transition Management, Coaching and every other situation that involves communication.

The basic message of the course is that all communication is driven by four core statements:

1.  "I want what I want"

2.  "I want what you want"

3.  "We want each other wants"

4.  "We want what is in the highest good"

When we are able to identify from which layer we are speaking (and why), we can become free of reaction.  The goal is not perfection, but awareness and the ability to respond to others in a way that will allow more trust, more clarity and ultimately more satisfaction in the process and the outcomes of communication.
 
This course is especially helpful to managers who avoid addressing performance issues or who wish to recognize great performance in a way that is meaningful to their employees.
 

Change / Transition Management

What do most people do when something about their job changes without their consent?  Panic!  Get angry!  Sabotage the new!

Is that what we want?  Of course not!

In this course, Annie explains why negative reactions are normal (yes, normal) and how you can help your employees move beyond their initial reactions and engage with the new.
