Profile

Biography:

Valerie Love spent 7 years in the financial services industry as a financial advisor to over 200 clients at American Express. What she discovered in her client interactions was that she consistently coached clients to financial success by taking a holistic approach, considering the client's entire lifestyle and how their thinking and patterns of behavior impacted their finances and their lives.

Though she loved her work as a financial advisor, Valerie desired to delve deeper into the field of self-development where she could utilize her natural talents and abilities to become a change agent and catalyst for personal growth.

The life-changing decision...

In August 2004, she decided to sell her financial planning practice to follow her passion of writing, speaking and coaching clients to greater and greater levels of personal success. It was a natural fit, since Valerie had been successfully speaking publicly in financial seminars and other venues for over a decade. Her gift for speaking and communication along with her knack for connecting with people of diverse backgrounds caused her practice to grow exponentially, many new clients coming to her by way of referrals from existing clients.

Speaking & Training

Valerie has spoken to thousands of attendees at conferences, workshops and retreats with a focus on personal development (including issues specifically related to women). Her dynamic presentation style and unique approach to teaching has garnered her a reputation for being an enthusiastic change agent. Rather than simply seeking to motivate an audience, which may not produce lasting change, Valerie opts, instead, to teach practical, real world strategies and tools which can be used by anyone to create vastly improved results; all done in engaging, humorous, powerful and memorable presentations. Story telling is one of Valerie's favorite means for conveying information in a way that listeners can relate to, and she's got a million great stories!

Overcoming Challenges

As one of the few women who has proven successful in the financial services industry, Valerie is uniquely qualified, from life experience, to teach keys to success, especially with regard to women's issues in the workplace, balancing family and work and the emotional intelligence to hold it all together while demonstrating excellence and mastery in the professional arena.

Having lived through the ups and downs of achieving success in the business world over the past 20 years, while maintaining a satisfying and fulfilling personal and family life, Valerie shows how, with planning and careful attention to what's important, one can truly have it all.

Training Style

Valerie enjoys speaking and interacting with audiences at retreats, conferences and large and small group trainings where she delivers unforgettable, one-of-a-kind presentations in which attendees participate so as to create a lively and dynamic experience! She has won numerous speaking awards for outstanding platform style, delivery and content.

Books

Valerie Love is the author of the best-selling book God Speaks to Me--Stories of Triumph Over Tragedy From Women Who Listened to God. She has completed the manuscript for her second book, which will be published in 2009.

Valerie is now creating the Pocket Power series of success books that are small enough to fit into a pocket, yet packed with the power to help readers achieve great things. The Pocket Power series of success books launches in the fall of 2008.

Clientele

Some of the organizations that have benefited from Valerie's presentations and strategies include: American Express Financial Advisors; Booz, Allen & Hamilton; Federally Employed Women (F.E.W.); Social Security Administration; Financial Destination, Inc.; and many more. Valerie has also appeared on numerous radio shows and television interviews.

Coaching Reviews

"Thanks Val for sharing your talents and gifts with me. I am having a great time coming into the awareness of who I really am. I am passionately pursuing my dreams and all of the business goals I have set for myself. As I continue to learn and grow, I promise to position myself, take what I have learned and share with others and to be a blessing to someone else's life. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you." -- J.T.

"Before our session yesterday I was wondering if it was a part of coaching to ask you for assistance with my presentation. My need was not the body but what I now know as the intention. How to kick it off with purpose before going into the mechanics. The intentions set the whole project in divine order and I thank God for you in that. Coaching holds me accountable and challenges me and teaches me. Thank you for all of your prayers and guidance." -- K.H.

"I felt so inspired by writing this that I felt the need to share it with you. This is not the only thing I have done... I have also written the first chapter of my book! I truly appreciate you... Thank you for everything you are doing to influence my life in such a wonderful way. These testimonies are just the beginning." -- A.M.

"Before I came to your coaching seminar I was so scared to sing in front of an audience. This past Saturday I sung at my cousin's funeral and it was a blessing. Had I not attended your seminar, I would have never sung at her funeral... I must admit that I was a little nervous, but not like I would have been. Since the seminar, I have been getting offers to sing, which I have accepted." -- C.M.

Book & Writing Reviews

"I truly enjoyed your book and I believe that so many women need to read it. The self-help angle was quite evident to me... I am glad you liked my review and I would welcome the opportunity to review your next book." -- Sonya L. Wilson, Book Review Editor for Bella Online

"We met two weeks ago at Shiloh Baptist Church. I explained that I was the book review editor for Precious Times Magazine and that I would review your book. I finished the book and loved it. I did review it and it should be in the next issue of the magazine." -- Dr. Sandra Jowers-Barber, Book Review Editor for Precious Times Magazine

"You are a joy to be around and you inspire so many people that are in your presence. It is rare to know a person who is using their God given talents, and yours are changing people's lives. I have read a few chapters of your book and it is so inspiring. The poem you read us has not left my mind... If you have not already done this, I would like to recommend that you develop an audio of you reading the poem. You bring so much life and understanding... Keep doing what you are doing, we need you. The world needs you." -- L.B.

"Am almost finished reading this powerful book God Speaks to Me and I would like to join your club because I want to start living my best life now. Some of the stories I am reading I connected to and I want to be a better person, a better mother, and most of all, be me." -- A.G.

"I'm just reading your book God Speaks to Me. By the way, it's AWESOME!" -- B.I.

"I am reading your book right now and I have to tell you how good it is! It is touching me more than I ever imagined! I am SO SO SO SO SO SO blessed by this book. I can't even explain it anymore in words, it is really just touching me. It's telling me so much about myself and I keep thinking of other people that need to read it as well. I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing this book... You have no idea how much this book is touching my life!" -- A.M.
