Naming the Incubus
Naming the Incubus is a book that was written for husbands who find themselves without an informative guide that would help them to understand the woundedness, hurt and pain associated with childhood sexual abuse.
This book seeks to help husbands understand that their anger, rage and desire to avenge what has happened to their wives may cause the survivor-spouse to become defensive and angry. Husbands do not generally understand that the after math of abuse and the abuse itself is often present tense in the lives of their wives.
If husbands want to truly help their wives to overcome the hurt and shame of childhood sexual abuse they must change first. They must become men fully committed to biblical discipleship. Husbands must put to death through the instrumentality of the Spirit the flesh-man (se/fish desires) within and become the pneuma-man (other centered) within who understands all things-including mastery of self with a wife who must face a formidable journey to wholeness in Christ herself.
