Benefits of Sexual Harassment Seminar Training in Arkansas:

Regardless of whether your organization is mandated by state law to offer sexual harassment prevention training, all businesses should incorporate sexual harassment prevention training into their company culture and HR best practices. This is the best way to keep your employees happy, productive, & everyone out of court.

Sexual Harassment training seminars will position your employees to learn what constitutes specific violations of your company's standards and policies and the EEOC laws, ( See below ), that govern sexual harassment. Our interactive training seminars will assure you that all of your employees know and understand the standards concerning violations of sexual harassment in the workplace. All employees will take a Pre-Test and Post-Test to determine exactly what they learned. All questions are discussed in a round table format. This test can also become a permanent part of the employee's personnel file. This will assure HR that the attending employees both comprehend the Arkansas state laws, EEOC statues, and your company's sexual harassment policy.

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) defines sexual harassment as follows:

Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when such conduct:

  • explicitly or implicitly affects an individual's employment
  • unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance
  • creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment

EEOC takes action on Arkansas Company:

Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when such conduct:

  • The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against Slim Chickens in Hot Springs, Arkansas .
  • The lawsuit comes after the EEOC said the Slim Chickens location violated federal law by subjecting a class of teens and young adults to sexual harassment and a sexually hostile work environment. According to a news release, the lawsuit states that a shift manager made inappropriate sexual comments to a young female.
  • The young female then reported the comments to the general managers. The lawsuit stated that the company failed to address the harassment, and the shift manager continued to harass other young female employees, including teenagers.

The release said the shift manager would intentionally brush up against the girls, rub their shoulders, and poke them in inappropriate places. He allegedly fondled the breast of one young female, touched one on her bottom, and placed his hand on the inner thigh of another. Eventually, the sexual harassment forced several of the employees to resign.

“Sexual harassment of young females in the restaurant industry remains a serious problem, and combatting this remains a priority of the EEOC,” said Edmond Sims, acting district director of the EEOC’s Memphis District Office, which has jurisdiction over Arkansas , Tennessee, and portions of Mississippi. “In the present case, the sexual harassment forced several of these young females to resign.”

The suit states it seeks monetary relief through back pay, compensatory and punitive damages, compensation for lost benefits, and an injunction against future discrimination.
